Our Expertise

With a reputation built on results, we have built extensive rapport with the nation’s leading barristers – from skilled Junior Counsel to Senior Counsel with over 30 years’ experience – meaning we will assess and advise on a barrister best suited to your particular matter.

We handle all types of Criminal Law matters, both Commonwealth and State. These include: Driving offences, license appeals, assault, sexual assault, robbery and firearm offences, drug offences, fraud, theft and dishonesty offences, homicide, terrorism offences, and all levels of appeals.

Areas of Criminal Law

As a result of our broad ranging services, we have had much success in all these areas of criminal law:

Fraud

Fraud offences are diverse in nature and can be committed in several ways. They can include fraud against the federal government, family day care fraud, social security fraud and money laundering

Drug offences

Drug offences can range from less serious charges such as use and possession, through to more serious charges including manufacture, supply and large importation of drugs.

Murder

Murder is one of the most serious charges you can face in NSW. The maximum penalty for murder is life imprisonment with a standard non parole period varying between 20 and 25 years, depending on the occupational status or age of the victim.

Assault

Assault charges are one of the most common charges laid in NSW and can include common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH), assault occasioning grievous bodily harm (GBH), and domestic violence related assault.

Manslaughter

Manslaughter differs from murder in that it involves a reduced level of intent. Manslaughter can be categorised into three different offences, Voluntary Manslaughter, Involuntary Manslaughter by Unlawful and Dangerous Act and Involuntary Manslaughter by Criminal Negligence. The maximum penalty for manslaughter is 25 years.

Terrorism

A terrorism offence is when an individual commits a terrorist act, plans or prepares for a terrorist act, finances terrorism or a terrorist, provides or receive training connected with terrorist acts, possesses things connected with terrorist acts or collects or makes documents likely to facilitate terrorist acts.
